Text notifications for our team
Swansea Wine & Spirits offers a voluntary text-message program for employees who want reminders about their own shifts and alerts when a manager needs coverage. Enrollment is completely optional, is never a condition of employment or of any purchase or transaction, and can be canceled at any time.
Voluntary program — not required. Signing up for text messages is optional. Employees do nothave to enroll in SMS to be hired, stay employed, get scheduled, or receive any other benefit. Employees who choose not to enroll receive the same schedule information through the staff portal (swanseawineandspirits.com/staff) and by email. Consent can be given — or withdrawn — at any time, and this program is not offered to the public.
Who this program is for
This SMS program is limited to employeesof Swansea Wine & Spirits who choose to enroll. We do notsend marketing or promotional text messages to customers, and there is no consumer text-in keyword. If you’re a customer who’d like to hear from us, please join our email newsletter instead.
How an employee opts in
Enrollment uses a standalone, one-page opt-in formthat is separate from onboarding paperwork, payroll paperwork, employment agreements, and any other hiring document. A manager offers the form to any employee who wants scheduling texts — typically after they start working and get access to the staff portal, but any current employee may request or decline the form at any point. Declining has no impact on hiring, scheduling, hours, pay, or any other aspect of employment.

I, , voluntarily agree to receive text messages from Swansea Wine & Spirits at the mobile number below about my own work schedule — shift reminders, coverage requests I can choose to claim, shift-swap approvals, and clock-in reminders. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply from my wireless carrier. I understand I can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message or by telling any manager to remove my number, and that opting out will have no effect on my employment.

Signed forms are filed in the employee’s personnel folder. Declined or unsigned forms are also kept on file as evidence that SMS was offered and refused without penalty.
What messages look like
Every message is short, work-related, and identifies us in the first word. Examples:
- Shift reminder.“Swansea Wine & Spirits: Reminder — you’re on today 10:00 AM–6:00 PM. See you soon! Reply STOP to opt out.”
- Coverage request.“Swansea Wine & Spirits: Sat 12–8 pm needs coverage. Reply YES to claim. Reply STOP to opt out.”
- Swap approved.“Swansea Wine & Spirits: Your swap with Alex on Fri 3–9 pm is approved. Reply STOP to opt out.”
Frequency and cost
Message frequency varies with your schedule — usually a handful of messages per week. Message and data rates may applyfrom your wireless carrier. Swansea Wine & Spirits does not charge you for the messages themselves.
How to opt out
- Reply STOPto any message. You’ll receive one confirmation reply and no further messages until you re-enroll.
- Reply STARTto re-enroll after you’ve opted out.
- Reply HELP for a short auto-reply with contact information.
- Or tell any manager in person to remove your number from your record. Opting out has no effect on your employment.
Privacy
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers and SMS consent are shared only with our messaging provider (Twilio) for the sole purpose of delivering the messages you’ve signed up to receive.
